I just read your comment on your ID
"art is my life
music is my love
science is my passion"
and it works for me too but some time ago I realized that I do art, I only listen to music (I thought of starting to create some) and science (though I have a diploma in physics and did a lot of theoretical physics in my last year) is something I don't do that much anymore - it's sad but eventually you get to the point of choosing because any of these demands more energy than what you can harvest

but enough of that, great painting inspired by the works of a great man

your comment was pleasant to the ear =)
it's all true - it demands a lot though i'm still trying my best to cope :giggle: because all these things inspire my paintings, and i just couldn't live withuot it.

I know, it's nice to combine them all. I managed to do that up to a point and still follow science news whenever I can. As for doing science, I started my PhD in computer science but I'm oriented more towards geometry and algorithms for a 3d sculpting application.

Anyways I wish you lots of luck!

Just a small mistake : I meant the statue representing the solar system... lol Not the universe!!!!

I have to say that this is one of the best surreal paintings I have seen so far on this website. All of the elements do demonstrate the notions of physics : the black hole, the symbolic statue representing the universe, the pears laying on the floor, the big bang, the space and the most important part of it all, the copernician system at the center of the painting. Very impressive and interesting, even though I am not the biggest fan of science in general. I pretty much leave that for the most intelligent ones. :)

Marcel, you are amazingly sharp-eyed. i appreciate you comments a lot  the fact that you aren't biggest fan of sciences only emphasizes my first sentence. mostly people tend to see only a ' pretty picture' in my paintings. but people like you inspire me to work further.

i did love the dimensions in this one and i also did like the black hole in the background. you did so well in this composition. being inspired from S. Hawking makes this piece more valuable. so you like science. art and science is a perfect combination. on his one of the exams in USA, A. Einstein, asked only one question: "how many trees are there along the path to the main building in the campus?". art brings science such consciousness to see deeper from another point of view and to be aware of the environment... science is around us in every detail...

This is extraordinary! I love physics and mathematics, and to try to put them artistically is quite a challenge because of the abstractness of it, so I think overall you did a pretty good job. ;)

physics is my passion. its a perfect theme for surreal art exactly because of it's abstractness and need of opening subconsciousness. i appreciate your words a lot  thank you

Yeah, you're very right. I love physics too, and so I'm considering to study that as my career but I'm still not sure... thanks!

I love the one point perspective and the flat horizon line. It feels so endless and reminds me of how little man has truly accomplished...

This has got to be one of the best paintings I've seen on here. And I have seen a lot. Your blending is superb.
Although I do wish I could view it without the watermark. I mean I already know that you did the painting, and I already know it is posted on deviantart. Its distracting.
